Day 14

March 30, 2015

Using the MQTT that Trey showed him, Reuben was able to start figuring out how to work the CC3100. Today, he tried to run a demo, but then we ran into a road block because we did not have a hotspot for Reuben to use in running the wi-fi demo. We see this becoming a potential problem, but Lillian will try to set up her phone's hotspot the next session.

Day 13

March 25, 2015

We worked on coding with Dave today, and he informed us that we would have to move back to Code Composer, which we would be starting next week on Monday with the TI laptops. We've made good progress overall, we just need to compile everything and then add the wi-fi function, but so far, we haven't been able to add wi-fi because none of us have personal hotspots.

Day 12

March 23, 2015

Today, we were updating our Wikipedia page and filling out a form for a meeting that we'll be having with a marketer next week. We're going to be starting on the bulk of compiling the codes we already have in Code Composer on Monday, so for now we're fixing everything else besides that.

Day 11

March 18, 2015

We're all still focused on our new assignments as of Monday, and not much measurable progress has been made, but we do feel closer to the actual goal now for both the clock and the LED.

Day 10

March 16, 2015

Today, our focuses were redirected concerning the clock function. Lillian is now trying to find a code suitable for for the clock to be continuously running, Reuben is working on displaying everything properly on the LCD screen, and David is working on the LED part, trying to make it dimmer and brighter according to different readings that are fed into it.

Day 8, 9

February 25 & March 2, 2015

I was not present on these two days; however, Reuben and David in the meantime were able to figure out how to set up the demo on the display, and even how to input their own data into it. Our group has decided to table the work as far as the CC3100 goes, until we figure out everything associated with actually running a clock on the display.
